Sophia the Giraffe

Last night was a pretty average Friday night around the dorms... (Meaning I was sitting around surfing sewing patterns and craft sites for new ideas)  Then I discovered this adorable giraffe named "Gigi" on BurdaStyle. It was obsession from there.
The next morning I dragged my loving boyfriend to JoAnn's (I'm so evil hehe) and was overjoyed when the felt squares were 4/$1.00! Craft heaven! And seeing as how my sweet beau (I never use that word, thought I'd try it out...) has three nephews and a niece who we are visiting Thanksgiving weekend, I figured it was time to make some giraffes! (Oh, and one for the boyfriend too =P )

So here is the first one done... "Sophia" has a hot pink felt body, with a blanket stitched edge that was done in brown yarn, three pink dots sewn to her side, pink flower on top, and a crocheted mane. Enjoy!
