Baby Shower Brainstorming!

My cousin is expecting! We don't know yet if it is a girl or a boy (soon enough though!) BUT what I do know is that we will be having an amazing party.

I think I am choosing a theme that has to do with rocking horses - it sounds cliche at first but listen to my reason! She absolutely adored horses when she was a little girl! We always went horseback riding, and she even had her own saddle! I love that about my cousin! Although the party will be in January, it will be in Seattle so it won't necessarily feel like winter (hopefully).

Now.. let's brainstorm:

Centerpieces
I know that regardless of the gender I want to do white and green hydrangeas and white roses for the centerpieces.  They're cheap (through Sams Club) and will go great with either pops of pink or blue. Sort of like these bridesmaids bouquets:

Cake

I want to attempt my very first pull-apart cake - I only want to do a small rectangle with a simple rocking horse on it with a star tip. Similar to this jungle cake

That's it for now! I can't wait to share what I've thought up for the paper goods =)
