Planning a Party: It's O.K. to Choose Easier

Originally I had planned to bake and decorate a cake for the baptism reception...
Until the guest list grew, and grew.. and our to-do list seemed to follow the same pattern.  Fast forward to one of many expensive trips to Safeway (forever thankful for my mother)!  Cake mixes were  on sale (happy dance!), and we decided it would just be easier to bake cupcakes.... GASP! We felt very guilt free about this choice because yes, it is O.K. to choose the easier route.

When you are hosting a party for 60+ people, who all will inevitably have very hungry sweet teeth, it's hard to imagine being able to pause everything and cut a cake! That's why cupcakes are easier!
